ARENA AT SOUTHLAKE – RIBBON CUTTING

AH&P did the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for The Arena at Southlake, which is Georgia’s newest mid-sized arena, and the official opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was held earlier this week.  Built and owned by Clayton County Public Schools it will serve as their convocation center and also hosts a Junior Achievement Delta Discovery Center as well as a Student Creators Studio that will be used by Clayton County students throughout the school year.  CCPS has partnered with TRP Now to run and manage the arena itself, which will hosts all sorts of performances, conferences, conventions, and various competitions.  The ribbon cutting ceremony was hosted by Rashan Ali and featured music from the Jonesboro HS and Morrow HS marching bands with remarks from various CCPS board members, current and former superintendents, and other community leaders.  For now enjoy some photos from the ribbon cutting, and stay tuned for more information on the building and a complete photo gallery and video showing the entirety of this incredible new facility!
