JONESBORO HIGH SCHOOL RENOVATION
AH&P provided the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for a ~$50 million renovation and addition project for Jonesboro High School in Clayton County, Georgia. Cooper Carry was the architect for the project which was planned and constructed in four phases to allow the work to progress while school was in session. The existing cafeteria, tech lab, library, an old gym, and more were all demolished to make room for the new additions. The addition added 52,000 square feet and increased student capacity by 250 students, bringing it up to ~265,000 square feet and 1,600 students respectively. The new additions added a mock court room, barber shop, cosmetology lab, and health information facilities as well as new cafeteria, media center, and gymnasium.
